Testimonials

Here are some testimonials from my students and band mates.

After our latest Sonoma Soul performance
Kride, Dennis and Esteban,

What a great evening. Having good friends contribute to the evening made it very special. Everyone commented on how the food presentation and music really made it a memorable night. I really can’t thank you enough.

Keith , Just wanted to drop you a line of Gratitude. I FINALLY !!!! got past that plateau you were always telling about as I practiced. However it wasn’t just the practice , I believe you were able to turn Me around on How I practiced, the results have been outstanding. So much has changed , the way I approach my practicing, and my Lessons. The talent you have to be able to figure out my flaws and turn me around my  One of my Biggest Obstacles . Your suggestion to not focus on others around me but just what I wanted to hear and not try to be someone else. My timing and speed have fallen into place like you said. I am sure your other students are feeling the same things I am. I am fortunate to have you as an instructor, looking forward to my lesson to learn and develop new things.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Keith for over 10 years. He is an amazing musician and teacher. Keith invited me on several occasions to observe him teaching a group of kids in the east bay and I was amazed at how well he was received. Keith has a natural ability to make people feel comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone who wishes to learn about music.   Sincerely , Dennis Cordellos.

Thanks Keith, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all the work you have done.

Keith Ridenhour is an amazing musician, but an even better educator.  His love for what he does is contagious, his energy and devotion to his art form grabs his students by the ears and pulls them along through an incredible learning experience.  I’ve seen him captivate a room full of kids, I’ve seen him work one on one with a student and impact the way they approach their instrument in such a fundamental way that everything else they do on their horn is improved.  Keith is a masterful teacher who’s personality and musical talent would be a welcome addition to any student’s music learning experience.”

Hello School District Professionals,
my name is Mike Riendeau, I am the Director of Instrumental Music at Napa High School. I have had the great privileged to work with Keith Ridenhour as a professional music educator for 4 years now. Keith is a fantastic musician and communicator of the information needed by young musicians to learn how to become a well rounded functioning instrumental musician. Keith has taught Jazz Band, Concert Band, Marching Band, Guitar Ensemble, and String Orchestra. The classes range in size from 25 to 75 students. Additionally, 9th grade through 12th grade students are in these groups. The classes are diverse and highly differentiated. Mr. Ridenhour has taught exceedingly well in this environment.
Keith is an energetic passionate teacher and these kids have expressed to me their enthusiasm for having him as a teacher in class. This is a rare gift and I am fortunate to be able to call upon his expertise when available.
I would highly recommend that Mr. Ridenhour is granted placement in your school district program.

Sincerely,
Mike Riendeau-Director
Napa High School Instrumental Music
